Which kind can I rent in Olécar?
All types of vehicles; small cars, SUVs, vans and luxury cars, both manual and automatic, divided into categories according to their characteristics.

Can I rent industrial vehicles?
We have different kinds of industrial vehicles at your disposal. The characteristics and the measurements are on our website.

Can I travel to the Islands with the Olecar car?
No, it is forbidden to travel by car to the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla for security reasons. The car may not be transported to any destination by boat.

Can I travel around Europe with the Olécar car?
There are restrictions regarding certain countries in Europe.

Can I leave the EU with the Olécar car?
No, it is strictly forbidden to leave the EU for security reasons.

Is there a cost for crossing the border?
Yes, for each country visited.

Do the insurance conditions change abroad?
No, they are adjusted to those agreed upon at the pick-up office, as long as the travel restrictions are met.

Do I need an International Driver's License to drive abroad?
You should verify the information of the country where you are going to travel and check if it is required.

What do I need to make a reservation?
Three basic valid documents are required:
1. ID Card / Passport
2. Driver's license
3. Credit card of the main driver
It is mandatory to present all the physical and valid documents upon the pick-up of the vehicle. Temporary vehicle registration documents must be officially certified.

What additional information do I need to complete my reservation?
Your data as a driver or renter, your phone number and e-mail are essential, as well as your flight number in case we have to pick you up at the airport.

How can I make a reservation?
You can make a reservation on our website or you can contact us at +34 902 03 98 33, via email: info@olecar.es or visit our offices.

How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?
Reservations made through the website will be confirmed via e-mail. Phone or office reservations will be confirmed by one of our agents in situ and / or via e-mail.

What does an "on request" reservation mean?
They are requests for reservations for periods of more than 30 days or for special cars, which must be reviewed and confirmed by the staff of Olécar. The confirmation will not exceed 24/48 hours and will be done via e-mail.

How long in advance should I make my reservation?
There is no fixed time but we recommend booking as early as possible to benefit from possible discounts or cheaper prices.

Can I book a rental car for more than 28 days?
Yes, you can book vehicles for periods of more than 28 days upon request.

Can I book a specific model?
We can not guarantee a specific model but we do guarantee a category. If you let us know your preferences we will try to satisfy your request.

Can I modify my reservation?
You can modify your reservation without problems at least 48 hours before the pick-up of the vehicle. You may incur charges according to the current rates. Call us at +34 902 03 98 33 or contact us through our email: info@olecar.es to manage the changes.

Can I cancel my reservation?
You may cancel your reservation for free at least 48 hours in advance. In case of short notice cancellation, you will be charged 30% of the rental service.

Do I have to pay upon booking?
Yes, you must pay at least 30% of the reservation or you may choose to pay the total amount.

Is my flight number required to make a reservation?
Providing your flight number is recommended for a better internal coordination. This lets us know if your flight is on time or if there would be delays in order to pick you up at the meeting point on time.

I do not have a credit card. Is there another way to book?
You need a credit card in order to block the deposit upon the pick-up of the vehicle.

Can I rent a car with my international driving license?
No, the international permit must always be accompanied by the original driver's license since this is just a translation. The former does not substitute the latter.

Should I book a child seat or a booster seat in advance?
It is recommended to book in advance to guarantee availability.

Can I count on your help for the placement of the child seats?
Of course, we are here to help you. However you should check the suitability, use and placement in the vehicle. Olécar does not take responsibility for the misuse or incorrect installation of security equipment.

Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, you can add an additional driver upon reservation or when you pick up the vehicle, with an additional fee.

Is there an additional fee for young drivers?
Yes, drivers under 25 years of age must pay a supplement.

Can I rent a GPS / Navigation system in your offices?
Yes, we have navigation systems available to our customers.

Do you have snow tires or should I rent snow chains?
Our cars do not come equipped with snow tires, so we offer you the rental of snow chains.

Can I request the delivery of the car to my home or to a specific place?
Olécar makes home deliveries within the metropolitan area of ​​the city, provided that it has been confirmed with the office at least 48 hours in advance.

Is it necessary to be present at the car delivery or pick-up?
Yes, the driver of the reservation must be present.

Which kind of insurance is included on the rental price?
All our cars include a comprehensive car insurance with franchise.

What is a franchise?
Franchise is the maximum amount of money you will have to pay in case of damage to the vehicle.

Which types of insurance can I have for my rental car?
Super Plus: reduces the initial franchise for less liabilty.

Wheel and glass coverage: covers these vehicle parts.

Roadside Assistance: exempts you from any charge for using such service in cases not generated by misuse or negligence. You can choose or combine these insurances according to your needs.

Does the insurance cover another driver?
As long as they appear as the second driver in the rental agreement.

Are my belongings insured if they get stolen?
Personal belongings and objects that may be inside the vehicle are not covered by any additional protection. We recommend, for greater safety, to leave the car without any item inside it.

What should I do if I see any damage in the car?
The car must be checked upon pick-up. if you find any damage, you must inform the Olécar staff to record them in the damage report.

Can I upgrade the vehicle that I booked?
Yes, as long as there is availability. If you have any preference, do not hesitate to let us know.

My flight is delayed, what should I do?
It is important that you inform us so we can organise your pick-up on time.

Which credit cards are accepted?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Should I bring my credit card?
The person who owns the credit card must always be present at our offices along with their ID card or valid Passport.

Can I pay for another person?
Yes, as long as you are present at the time of pick-up or have previously passed by the office to make the payment along with the requested documents.

Is it possible to pay in cash or debit card?
Yes, the payment may be made by debit card, or in cash provided that the amount does not exceed € 2499. The deposit will always be blocked on a credit card.

When should I pay for the rental service?
All payments must be made in advance, except for additional features that may be added during the rental period such as fuel or additional day/s in case of a contract extension.

When will the deposit be blocked on my credit card?
Upon the pick-up of the vehicle from the office.

How much money will be blocked on my credit card?
It will depend on the coverage of the vehicle. The minimum is € 150 up to € 3,650 for higher categories.

Can I pay the deposit in cash?
No, cash deposits are not accepted.

What kind of fuel does the car carry?
It depends on the rented vehicle. It may be diesel or petrol. We will inform you about the type of fuel once you pick up the car in our office.

Will my car be filled up when I pick it up?
Yes, our vehicles always come with a full tank.

What if I return the car without fuel?
Olécar fills up the tank of the vehicle and you will be charged for both the corresponding liters and the refueling service.

How many kilometres can I travel with the car per day?
We offer up to 350 km / day, an amount that varies according to the days reserved.

What is the maximum number of kilometres that I can do per month?
A maximum of 4000 km for 28 days.

What is the cost of the extra mileage?
The price per extra km is € 0.20 for all car and van models.

Can I rent a car on an hourly basis?
You can rent a car for as long as you need. The minimum amount to be paid is 24 hours.

What is the maximum rental period?
The maximum period allowed is 85 days. You must pass by the office to sign a new extension and block a new deposit on the credit card on a monthly basis.

How can I book a long-term rental car?

What is the minimum age to rent a car?
18 years with a driver's license valid for a minimum of one year.

Where is the meeting point at the airport?
The meeting points are the same as the rest of the rental companies outside the airport. You will find directions on how to get there in the booking voucher.

Yes, as long as you have an appropriate means of transport to carry them and you follow the necessary hygienic measures.
